- Take a full-stack photo plus clear views of the top, underside, and any repairs or damage. Have the photos ready to share when the team follows up.
- Record the count and dimensions for each group, your city or ZIP code, and whether this is a one-time load or a recurring surplus.

Confirm the handoff before moving the load
Include receiving hours, dock or forklift availability, loading access, and an on-site contact. Ask the team to confirm which pallets qualify, whether freight or handling charges apply, and whether pickup or an arranged drop-off is available. How does pallet recycling work?
Pallet recycling starts with an inventory review. Tell Southern Pallet Recycling the pallet type, dimensions, approximate quantity, condition, and location. Photos can show broken boards, missing components, mixed sizes, or other details that affect the recovery path. Our team reviews the load and follows up with the available next step.
After receipt, pallets can be sorted by specification and condition. Safe, serviceable pallets may return to use. Repairable pallets can be restored by replacing damaged components and checking the finished pallet before it goes back into circulation. Pallets that cannot be safely repaired can be separated so sound boards and other usable components are recovered where appropriate, while remaining wood is directed to an available downstream recycling path. This reuse-first process keeps useful material working longer instead of treating every old pallet as waste.

What pallets do we buy? (standard, box, GMA, damaged)
We regularly evaluate standard wood pallets, standard forty-eight-by-forty GMA pallets, and box pallets used for bulk materials or specialized loads. We can also review mixed loads, custom sizes, and pallets with visible damage. A damaged pallet is not automatically rejected: its value depends on repairability, recoverable components, size, construction, and current reuse or recycling needs.
Identify the pallet style, dimensions, construction, condition, and approximate quantity instead of describing everything simply as “used pallets.” Note whether loads are stacked, separated by type, accessible for loading, or mixed with other material. Photos of the top, bottom, stringers, blocks, and damaged areas make the review more useful. Acceptance and value are determined after review; submitting a request does not guarantee that every pallet will qualify for purchase.

Where can I sell used pallets?
Businesses can sell eligible used wood pallets through Southern Pallet Recycling’s regional recovery program. It serves warehouses, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, construction operations, and other businesses with surplus inventory. Start with the quote form and provide the location, pallet type, condition, approximate quantity, and handling details.
We serve businesses across the Southeast, but availability is reviewed for each request rather than promised from a city or state name alone. Pallet mix and freight requirements matter along with location. If pickup is practical, our team can discuss the handoff. Otherwise, we may provide delivery instructions or another clear next step after the inventory is reviewed.

How do I get rid of old pallets?
Keep old pallets separate from general trash and identify which are serviceable, repairable, or badly damaged. Do not reuse an unstable pallet. Record the sizes and types, estimate the quantity, and take clear photos. Separating different specifications can make review and loading more straightforward.
Send the details to Southern Pallet Recycling for a recovery review. Depending on the inventory, pallets may be directed toward reuse, professional repair, component recovery, or an appropriate recycling channel. Our team can confirm whether pickup is available or provide delivery instructions for an accepted load. Businesses with recurring inventory can describe how often it accumulates. Do not abandon pallets, burn treated or unknown wood, or assume disposal is the only option before checking whether useful material can remain in circulation.

How much do you pay for used pallets?
There is no single posted payout for every used pallet load. Current value depends on specification, dimensions, construction, condition, repairability, quantity, location, loading requirements, freight, and demand. Standard reusable inventory may be evaluated differently from mixed, custom, or heavily damaged material. A quote follows review of the actual load.
Submit the pallet type, condition, approximate quantity, pickup location, and photos when available. Include sorting, stacking, dock access, and loading details because they affect the handoff. Southern Pallet Recycling will explain whether the inventory is eligible for purchase, recovery, or another disposition. Payout terms are confirmed with the quote; no estimated rate is published before review.

Do you offer free pallet pickup? Where do you pick up?
Pickup support may be available, but free pickup is not automatic and should not be assumed before review. Availability depends on the inventory, location, freight, site access, loading conditions, and current routing. Southern Pallet Recycling evaluates requests from businesses across the Southeast and confirms whether a specific site can be served after receiving the load details.
Share the pickup address or city and state, pallet type, condition, approximate quantity, preferred timing, and site restrictions. Explain whether pallets are stacked, whether a dock or forklift is available, and who coordinates access. The team will confirm eligibility, any applicable fee, service area, quantity requirements, and scheduling expectations. If pickup is unavailable, we may provide delivery instructions for an accepted load. No fee, minimum quantity, radius, or lead time is promised until review is complete.
