Built with kiln-dried lumber in the standard 48x40 footprint with four-way entry, or as hybrids that pair new and recovered components.
ISPM-15 compliant pallets, stamped to show treatment, for export shipments that require heat-treated wood packaging.
Pallets built to your dimensions, deck coverage, and load requirements when a standard 48x40 does not fit the product or equipment.

Pallet grades
Grade names vary between suppliers, so ask what a grade means before you compare quotes. These are the grades we use when we sell used pallets.
Recycled pallets in the most consistent condition: sound stringers, complete deck boards, and few visible repairs. Often chosen where appearance and uniform stacking matter.
Recycled pallets that have been repaired, often with replacement boards, plugged or companion stringers, and mixed lumber. Structurally serviceable and usually the lower-cost option.
Built from new lumber to a defined specification. The right choice for export, heavy or high-value loads, and customers who require identical units on every order.
A 48x40 pallet is priced by whether it is new, hybrid, or a recycled grade, along with lumber costs, heat treatment, order quantity, how often you reorder, and the delivery distance. Recycled 48x40 pallets start at $4.00 and new or hybrid pallets start at $9.50 per pallet. Your quote lists the pallet specification and delivery terms so you can compare suppliers on the same basis.

A better buying brief
Buying wood pallets for a business starts with the job they need to do. For a single shipment or recurring pallet supply, these four details help us quote a suitable new, hybrid, or recycled option from our Poplarville operation.
01
Start with length and width, then describe the product, total loaded weight, and whether the load is evenly distributed. Include deck coverage and any overhang restrictions. A 48x40 footprint alone does not define how a pallet will perform.
02
Tell us whether you use forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, floor stacking, or warehouse racking. Include entry direction and any customer receiving specification. Grade and appearance are only part of choosing a pallet that fits your equipment.
03
Include the number needed for the first order and your expected weekly or monthly use. Flag seasonal peaks, changes in product mix, and the space available to store empty pallets. We can review ongoing requirements alongside a one-time order.
04
Provide the delivery ZIP code, receiving hours, site contact, and dock or unloading arrangements. Ask for pallet pricing and freight terms together so you can compare the delivered cost of competing quotes.
Use our Grade A versus Grade B pallet buying guide to compare repairs, appearance, and receiving requirements. A grade is not a universal weight rating or a substitute for a written specification.

Frequently asked questions
A GMA pallet is the 48-by-40-inch stringer pallet named for the Grocery Manufacturers Association, which standardized the size for grocery and consumer goods distribution. It is the most common pallet footprint in the United States, so it fits most racking, trailers, and forklift operations.
A typical GMA pallet uses three notched stringers with deck boards on the top and bottom. The notches let forklifts lift it from all four sides, while pallet jacks enter from the two ends. Southern Pallet Recycling supplies recycled 48x40 pallets in multiple grades as well as new and heat-treated builds.
Recycled 48x40 pallets start at $4.00 per pallet, and new and hybrid 48x40 pallets start at $9.50 per pallet. Ask for current pricing for your required grade and quantity; starting prices are not a delivered quote.
These prices reflect standard configurations at truckload quantities. Your final price depends on grade, customizations such as heat treatment, notching, or strapping, current lumber costs, order volume, and delivery location, and is confirmed in your quote.

Used pallets fit domestic shipping, storage, and one-way loads where cost matters and a repaired pallet meets the requirement. Choose new pallets for export, food or pharmaceutical customers with strict pallet standards, heavy loads, or any program that needs identical units. Our team can recommend a grade once we know the load and how the pallets will be handled.
